Set specific task deadlines
A good Asana task has an assignee and a due date, but did you know you can set even more specific times?
Whether you're a master procrastinator or a perfectionist planner, Asana has something for everyone to hit their deadlines, and it's time you learned how. Whether you or a teammate set it, most tasks should have a due date.
Start by clicking the date picker Beyond task due dates, you can also choose a due time. Click "Add due time" and set the hour. It's ideal for time-sensitive tasks and translates across time zones.
Some tasks take more than a day to complete. Instead of waiting until the last minute, add a start date. Use the date picker to set the range to pace yourself and get reminders in advance. This feature is also helpful for planners to set a successful project schedule in Timeline view.
Here, you can set date ranges and dependencies for each task and move them as necessary by dragging and dropping. Do you have work you repeat regularly? Set up a recurring task to save time, every time. Tasks can repeat at any cadence, and they'll duplicate with all the same details So you can set it and forget it until it's time to revisit.
