Rule execution history

Available on Asana Starter, Advanced, Enterprise, and Enterprise+ tiers, as well as legacy tiers Premium, Business, and Legacy Enterprise.

Rule execution history provides visibility into your automation workflows by allowing you to track which rules have run in your domain. This feature shows which actions were taken on which tasks and when they occurred, helping you troubleshoot, audit, and optimize your rules

Accessing rule execution history

  1. Navigate to any rule in your project
  2. Click the three dot icon
  3. Click Rule history

The rule execution history displays information in chronological order, with the most recent executions at the top.

Rule history view

The Rule execution history provides the following information:

  • Status: Whether the rule executed successfully or failed
  • Execution date and time: When the rule was triggered
  • Task: Which task the rule ran on
  • Actions run: Details of the actions performed by the rule
  • Edit history: When was the rule edited and by whom
