The permissions management add-on gives admins greater control over who can access, modify, or manage content within Asana. It includes tools for defining and customizing permission roles, managing third-party app usage, and global controls for guest access, mobile behavior, and file sharing. This add-on helps organizations better align Asana access with their internal policies and team structures.

Create and manage custom member, guest, and admin roles with configurable permissions.

Advanced creation, sharing, deletion, and invite permissions

Several advanced permissions which can be configured to user role level as part of RBAC. Here’s an example of a few:

What is the permissions management add-on, and how does it work?

The add-on provides organization admins with additional controls on user permissions and access to the mobile app, or other third-party applications.

Who is eligible for purchasing this add-on? 

Customers with organization-wide Asana Enterprise subscription are required to purchase access to the permissions management add-on. If you are on an existing workspace or divisions, you must upgrade to an organization-wide Asana Enterprise subscription. 

Customers on Enterprise+ subscriptions already have access to the features in this add-on.

How do you access the add-on? 

If you meet the eligibility criteria and have purchased the add-on, your organization super admin can access these via the admin console

How is the add-on priced? 

The add-on is charged on a per-user, per-month basis, based on the number of members with an Enterprise subscription.
