Managing your AI Teammates Add-On Licenses

Who is eligible to purchase this add-on? 

The AI Teammates add-on license can be added to any Starter, Advanced, Enterprise, or Enterprise+ user license. To access the add-on after purchasing, an Admin must assign the user a license in the admin console. To purchase the add-on, you must contact your Asana sales representative or reach out to Sales directly.

Managing licenses and assigning license roles

Domain admins, super admins, and division admins can assign licenses and designate user roles for the add-on.

Manually manage licenses and assign license roles 

To manually assign licenses:

  1. Navigate to the admin console
  2. Click the Users tab
  3. Select AI Teammates in the add-on column drop-down next to a user’s name

Bulk manage licenses and assign license roles

To license and assign AI Teammates in bulk, upload a completed CSV template from the admin console. In the CSV file, first add AI Teammates to each user in the add-on column. 

  1. Click your profile icon and select Admin console.
  2. Navigate to the Users tab
  3. Click the Import/Export CSV drop-down
  4. Select Export CSV
  5. Add the term AI Teammates in the Add-ons column next to anyone you wish to grant access to. See image below.
  6. Import the CSV via the CSV import button in the top-right of the Members tab.
  7. You will receive a notification when the import is completed

Govern and manage requests

You can view AI Teammates usage in the admin console, from the Billing tab.

From here, admins can view:

  • Requests used vs. requests available
  • Number of AI Teammate creators
  • Number of AI Teammates created
  • Number of members using AI Teammates
  • AI Teammates monthly usage
  • A total requests column that shows the number of AI Teammate requests completed  

Viewing AI Teammates usage

Admins can monitor how AI Teammates are being used across their domain or division directly from the Billing page in the admin console. To access this view, navigate to the Admin console, select Billing from the left sidebar, and then select AI Teammates. At the top of the page, you will see a summary of key usage metrics, including total AI Teammates requests, the number of AI Teammate creators, the number of AI Teammates created, and the number of members who have used AI Teammates.

Viewing usage by member

To see usage broken down by individual member, select the Members tab on the AI Teammates usage page. This view displays each member alongside the number of AI Teammates they have created, their total requests, and the date of their last use. This information helps admins understand which members are actively engaging with AI Teammates and how frequently they are making requests.

Viewing usage by AI Teammate

To see usage broken down by individual AI Teammate, select the AI Teammates tab on the usage page. This view lists all AI Teammates in the domain, along with the creator of each teammate, the number of unique users who have interacted with it, the total number of requests it has received, and the date it was last used. Admins can use this information to identify which AI Teammates are most active and assess overall adoption across the organization.
