Asana Goals’ strategy map is a powerful visualization tool that provides a holistic view of how goals and work are connected in one place. With goals strategy map, you can easily identify connections between different initiatives and make informed decisions about resource allocation and priorities.
To access the strategy map, navigate to the sidebar, click Goals, then click the Strategy map tab.
From the strategy map tab, you can:
Below the elements in your strategy map, you’ll see an arrow. This arrow appears when pieces of work contribute to this goal. For example, other goals, portfolios, and projects support the “Grow ARR by 20%” goal.
Click the arrow to expand or collapse these elements. The number next to each arrow represents the number of pieces of work supporting the goal.
When you click on the cards, a side pane will open, displaying the details of this piece of work.
The progress of goals can be measured using the automatic or manual method. The automatic method allows you to calculate progress from three sources automatically: sub-goals, projects, or tasks. When the progress of the source changes, so does the parent’s progress–automatically.
The solid lines in the goals strategy map indicate that the object contributes to the goal using the automatic method.
The minimap allows you to move within your goals strategy map and see exactly where on the map you are.
Click the Minimap icon at the top of your goals strategy map to open the minimap. Click the icon again to close the map.
