This article deals with some common questions that Asana customers might have about the Asana Certification program. Visit the Asana Academy to earn certificates and badges, or learn more about them.
About the Certification Program
What is a certification program?
A certification program is a training and assessment program to develop new skills. Upon completion, you will be provided a digital credential verifying your expertise. The Workflow Specialist and Asana Administrator certificates are earned after successfully completing all courses, a capstone project, and a final exam. The skill badges are earned through the successful completion of all courses and a final quiz.
What is the difference between a skill badge and a certificate?
A skill badge verifies the acquisition of a specific skill and does not expire. A skill badge can help prepare for a certification or certificate but is not a prerequisite.
Certificates are awarded for broader sets of knowledge and verified with a capstone project and exam. Certificates expire based on a prescribed time frame and require a fee for completion.
How long does it take to earn the Asana Foundations skill badge?
Every participant is encouraged to work at their own pace. We anticipate it will take 2-3 hours to complete the program. Once you begin you will have 30 days to complete the training modules and quiz.
How long does it take to earn the Campaign Management skill badge?
Every participant is encouraged to work at their own pace. We anticipate it will take 1-2 hours to complete the program. Once you begin you will have 30 days to complete the training modules and quiz.

Every participant is encouraged to work at their own pace. We anticipate it will take 8-10 hours to complete the program. Once you begin you will have 90 days to complete the training modules and assessments.
How long does it take to earn the Asana Administrator certificate?
Every participant is encouraged to work at their own pace. We anticipate it will take 4-6 hours to complete the program. Once you begin you will have 90 days to complete the training modules and assessments.
Do I need to complete the skill badge or certificate courses all at once?
No. This program is designed to be self-paced. Your progress will be saved if you need to come back at a later time.
Do I have to renew my Workflow Specialist certificate?
Yes. You will be asked to recertify every year and notified with more details within 30 days of your expiration date. After expiration your original certificate will no longer be valid. You will receive a new certificate after completion of the renewal process.
Do I have to renew my Asana Administrator certificate?
Yes. You will be asked to recertify every two years and notified with more details within 30 days of your expiration date. After expiration your original certificate will no longer be valid. You will receive a new certificate after completion of the renewal process.

How do I get my completion skill badge or certificate?
Your digital badge or certificate will be emailed to you within 24 hours of completing the requisite course(s). If you do not receive your badge via email within 24 hours, please complete this form.
How can I use my skill badge or certificate?
Add your digital credential to your LinkedIn profile, email signature, professional website, or in whatever way best fits you. Learn more about how to use your digital credentials.
How can I change the name on my skill badge or certificate?
Please follow these steps to request a name change on your credentials. Once you submit your request, our team will review and approve directly on the credential. You will then be notified once the request is completed.

How can I transfer the email address of my skill badge or certificate?
Your certificate or skill badge is initially connected to Asana workspace and/ or the account you use for the Asana Academy. We recommend maintaining your credential with your professional email so that it can be connected to your Asana workspace and visible on your Asana profile. You are able to share your credential to your LinkedIn without the connection to your work email. It is recommended that you link a secondary email address to your credential wallet so you can access it from organization to organization. Learn more about how to use your digital credentials.
How do I get started if I am new to Asana?
First, sign up for a free Asana account. You will be enrolled in a 30 day trial to experience advanced features. Then use your Asana account details to register for your preferred program in the Asana Academy. Learn more about trials here.

The Asana Foundations Skill Badge and Workflow Specialist Certificate are currently available in English, Japanese, and German. The AI for Work Skill Badge and AI Studio Foundations Skill Badge are available in English only at this time.
