Resource hub is a self-serve home inside Asana where your organization can share guidance, training materials, useful links, and announcements in one place. Admins can tailor the hub to your organization, so team members can find answers on their own. Once turned on, the "people" mode changes to your company name (as defined in the admin console), and the picture changes to whatever image is uploaded into the resource hub logo. The resource hub appears at the top of the company name mode in your Asana sidebar.

Turn on the resource hub

To make the resource hub available to your organization:

  1. Open the admin console
  2. Under Organization, select Global settings
  3. Locate the Resource hub section
  4. Select Available
  5. Click Save changes

Once you select Available, the resource hub is turned on for super admins and admins first. You can also share editing/admin access with non-admins. It isn't shared with the rest of your organization until you choose to share it. This gives you time to set up content before your team sees it.

Customize the resource hub

To access your resource hub:

  1. Click on your organization’s name on the sidebar
  2. Click Resource hub

The hub starts with default cards that help users get started with Asana. You can edit or remove any of them, and you can add content that fits your organization, such as company resources and documentation, onboarding materials, useful links, and announcements.

To organize your content, drag and drop cards to reorder them, and group them into categories or sections. To change a card after you add it, edit the card directly.

The hub comes with two default tabs. The Overview tab displays resources, useful links, and messages. The Messages tab gives you a dedicated space for organization-wide communications. Because it functions like a standard teams page, you can also add other custom tabs (such as embeds, notes, etc.).

Additionally, messages automatically send inbox notifications to everyone, allowing admins to effectively broadcast organization-wide announcements.

Share the resource hub

When you're ready, select Invite in the top-right corner to give others access.

From the General tab, you can share the hub with your entire organization.

From the Members tab, you can give edit access to specific people. People with edit access can change the hub's content and share it with others. People with view access can read and use the content but can't make changes.

Dash can read and write directly to the resource hub, making content management seamless. You can also add the resource hub to custom onboarding to guide and enable newcomers across your organization.
