Text widgets allow you to add custom text content directly to your Asana dashboards, helping teams provide context, share information, and organize dashboard content more effectively.

What are text widgets?
Text widgets are text boxes that can be added to your dashboards to add context and narrative on them. They enhance the flexibility and impact of dashboards by enabling users to include explanations in the form of text, asana links, images or tables alongside their dashboard charts, data and metrics.
Adding a text widget
- Navigate to your desired dashboard
- Click the + Add widget button
- Select Text from the drop-down menu
- The text widget will be automatically added to your dashboard
- Enter your desired text in the provided editor
- Click the ellipses to choose the widget size, duplicate or remove the widget
Once added, text widgets can be resized and repositioned within the dashboard like other widget types. Users can edit the content of text widgets at any time by clicking on the widget to open the text editor.
