To purchase Client Management, your organization must have an active Starter or Advanced base subscription. Client Management is not included in these plans by default.

When you manage several client projects at once, it can be hard to tell who has room for more work and who is already stretched. Team capacity helps you see your team's capacity across client projects so you can spot pressure early and balance work before commitments slip.

With Team capacity, you can create a capacity view for your client work and review staffing in one place.

Create a team capacity

To get started, navigate to Clients on the sidebar and select Team capacity.

When you create your first team capacity view, it automatically includes all current users in your domain, as long as your domain has fewer than 100 people. People who join the domain after the view is created will need to be added to the view manually.

Projects appear in the view automatically. For a project to show up, at least one of its tasks must be assigned to a team member, have a due date, and be homed in a project under a client account.

This gives you a single place to review who is staffed across that work.

Review team capacity across work

Once your view is set up, you can use it to check how work is distributed across the team. This makes it easier to see who may be overloaded and who has room to take on more.

Reviewing capacity in one place can help you rebalance assignments before delivery timelines are affected. It can also make staffing conversations easier when multiple projects are moving at the same time.

Team capacity is designed to help you plan work across projects. Because of that, client portals are not included in capacity views.
