Set up organization settings

From the admin console, navigate to the Settings tab. Here, you can manage your organization’s domain settings, announcements, and company profile. Update your fiscal year start date to align with your business operations.

Configure your profile

Start by customizing your organization's basic information:

  1. In the admin console, navigate to Settings
  2. Under Company profile  you can:
    1. Update your organization name to reflect your company
    2. Upload your company logo for custom branding
    3. Add a preferred email to receive security and privacy-related notifications

Upload your company's logo to Asana to personalize its appearance, ensuring your brand is represented accurately throughout the Asana experience.

To add your organization's logo:

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab in your admin console
  2. Under Company profile, click Custom branding
  3. Upload your primary logo for light mode
  4. Optionally, upload a separate logo optimized for dark mode
  5. Use the preview function to verify how your logos appear across different surfaces

Logo guidelines

  • We recommend that your logo’s resolution be 60x60 pixels minimum, but a higher resolution image is preferred.
  • Upload a PNG image with a transparent background.
  • Logos will appear next to your profile picture in the admin console, work exports, and forms (if enabled).  
  • The shape of the logo should be square or rectangular. If not, Asana will scale the logo to fit onto different surfaces.

Customize onboarding

Custom onboarding helps tailor the Asana experience to fit your organization’s needs. This includes setting up welcome messages, creating an onboarding project, and providing guides on how to use Asana effectively. Offering clear instructions and resources will engage your team from the start.

  1. Create onboarding projects: Design templates to streamline new member onboarding.
  2. Provide training materials: Link to tutorials, webinars, and help articles to help new users learn the ropes quickly.

To create a custom onboarding:

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab
  2. Under New user onboarding, click Customized onboarding
  3. Click Create onboarding

Enable Asana AI features

Optimize your workflow with Asana’s AI capabilities. Super admins can turn these features on or off via the Settings tab under Domain settings.

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab
  2. Under Domain settings click Asana AI
  3. Turn AI features on or off as needed

Security is crucial for protecting your organization’s data. Set up global authentication settings, including:

Configure domain export

Super admins can request a full export of your organization’s data in JSON format. This is particularly useful for maintaining comprehensive records or conducting audits.

  1. Go to the Settings tab in the admin console
  2. Under Domain settings, select Domain export and follow the prompts to export data
