Service AI is the AI experience in Asana Service that can use your published content to help resolve requests. When a request is received, Service AI looks for a relevant published knowledge article and uses that information to respond.
You can add knowledge by creating articles directly in your knowledge base, or by connecting a supported external source.
To add an article to your knowledge base:
You can then choose how to add your article:
Service AI uses only published knowledge base content when responding to requests. Draft content from the Suggestions tab is not used until it has been published.
Because Service AI relies on published articles, the quality of that content directly affects the quality of its responses. Clear article titles, specific steps, and up-to-date troubleshooting guidance make it easier for Service AI to identify the right answer and surface it quickly.
If a request reaches the wrong queue, Service AI can still search across all knowledge bases connected to your Asana Service instance to find a relevant answer.
Service AI does not use past request history as a knowledge source. This reduces the risk of exposing personal information and avoids relying on previous ticket conversations as a source of truth. It also does not browse the web beyond any external websites you have explicitly allowed, and it cannot provision software or take action on approval requests.
When Service AI cannot resolve a request, it becomes a ticket and is routed to a queue for a team member to pick up.
Resolution rate shows the percentage of incoming requests that Service AI resolves without involvement from a team member.
A request counts toward this rate when the requester confirms that Service AI solved their issue, or when the request is closed without team member involvement.
You can view your AI resolution rate in your Performance dashboard, so you can track trends and understand how your knowledge base content is affecting resolution.
