Visit our pricing page for more information.

Service notes are private comments visible only to your team, not to the requester. They let you share internal context on a ticket, separate from the conversation the requester sees.

What Service notes are for

Use service notes to discuss a ticket internally, capture troubleshooting details, or document handoff context when transferring to another agent.

How to add a Service note

When adding a comment to a ticket, toggle the padlock icon next to Send to convert it from a public comment to a service note. A banner will appear at the top of the comment field stating "This Service note will only be visible to agents in this queue".

Once posted, the comment will appear in the thread as a service note with the service queue also referenced.

Who can view Service notes

Only queue members, including agents and queue admins, can view service notes. Requesters and other ticket collaborators cannot see them.

AI and Service notes

AI-generated responses in Asana Service do not use service notes. They rely on your published knowledge base content when responding to new requests.
